Yamaha’s Ed Boyer Passes at 63
Ed Boyer, regional sales manager at Yamaha Corp. of America, passed away on April 8 following an accident at his home. He was 63 years old.

No doubt he was one of the people you just wanted to be around, especially with that infectious laugh,” the association said in a statement, noting that he’d won numerous awards during his 37 years with Yamaha for sales and marketing of wind, string and percussion instruments. “Ed was always a consummate professional who drove those of us who worked with him to be better. Ed also loved to play drums and had a special place in his heart for Tower of Power and Steve Gadd. We can’t forget how much he also loved the Philadelphia Eagles and a cold Heineken.”
