Vandoren Hosts First VAC Summit in 4 Years
In May, Dansr hosted nearly 30 Vandoren Artist-Clinicians (VACs) for a day of brainstorming, training and fun in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to the pandemic, Vandoren held the event annually. The summit allows VACs to gather to recap the successes of the previous school year, brush up on product training and updates, and discuss goals and strategies for educational outreach in the next school year.
“It’s hard to believe it had been four years since we all were together,” said Michael Fenoglio, director of marketing at Dansr. “It was amazing how quickly we picked up right where we had left off. We shared stories and ideas, discussed educational and product trends — the group didn’t miss a beat. We all left feeling fired up for another school year.”
The Vandoren Artist-Clinician (VAC) program is an outreach-focused artist relations program that provides free educational clinics and product trials to school band programs and music stores across the country each year. The mission of the program is to educate and inspire students and their teachers to become the best musicians and educators they can be. Since its inception in 2015, the program has reached hundreds of programs and more than 50,000 students.
