Thief Steals 2 Guitars from Guitar Center SoCal Store
Authorities with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have released surveillance footage of a female suspect who stole a pair of guitars just before 4 p.m. on August 13 from Guitar Center’s Westlake Village, California, store — located just over a mile from its corporate headquarters.
According to the LA County Sheriff’s Department, the female suspect engaged with sales representatives, and when they were distracted, walked out with two guitars. The stolen guitars are an Epiphone 1959 Les Paul Standard Outfit electric guitar, valued at nearly $1,000, and a Fender Player Stratocaster HSS Plus, valued at more than $900.
Retailers taking in trades in the area are to be on alert for these models.
