Spector Bass has announced the first visit of its longstanding Japanese distribution partner, Kyoritsu Corporation, and three of Japan’s leading music retailers to Spector’s Woodstock, New York, Custom Shop. This visit marks the beginning of an expanded relationship, as Spector’s Custom Shop models are now available through key dealers in Japan, including Ishibashi Music, Music Land Key and Miki Gakki. This collaboration aims to elevate Spector’s presence in Japan’s bass market, bringing custom built instruments to discerning players across the country.

“It was an honor and privilege to host our partners Kyoritsu and three of Japan’s premier dealers at Spector’s Woodstock, New York, Custom Shop facility,” said John Stippell, director of Korg Bass Division. “After many years of dedication to developing the Spector brand in Japan, it’s gratifying and exciting to know that our Custom Shop instruments are going to be so well represented by these excellent dealers.”

During their visit, the team from Kyoritsu had the opportunity to experience firsthand the meticulous craftsmanship that defines Spector’s Custom Shop basses.

“We are truly impressed by the very finely executed works of the Custom Shop team members, whose meticulous and careful manufacturing methods and commitment to limited production were clearly visible,” said Jun Saito from Kyoritsu Corporation. “I am very confident that the experience we gained during this time will help boost sales of Spector Custom Shop in Japan.”
