Senseney Music Announces Sale to Palen Music Center
Senseney Music, a music education retailer for more than 45 years, will continue to serve the greater Wichita, Kansas, community under a new name and ownership this fall. Palen Music Center, a well-established Missouri-based retailer with more than 60 years in business, will become the new owner this fall and the sale is expected to be completed by November 1.
For the past 15 years, Senseney Music had been led by company president, Lori Supinie, who passed away in July.
“Senseney Music and our dedicated staff members will continue to be available to help customers during the transition to Palen Music,” said Andy Supinie of Senseney Music. “Lori was an excellent businesswoman and will be missed by many. Through the pending sale, her legacy will live on.”
“Lori was a dear friend and industry colleague for many years,” said Eric Matzat, president of Palen Music. “Our hearts go out to her family and the entire Senseney Music team during this difficult time. It is a privilege and honor to carry on the legacy of Lori Supinie and Denny Senseney.”
According to a statement from the company, Senseney Music’s Rent to Learn program is ongoing and customers will experience the same attention as always provided by the music store.
