Schmitt Music’s CEO Receives 40 Under 40 Award

Schmitt Music’s Peter Schmitt, fifth generation CEO of Schmitt Music Company, has been named a recipient of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award for 2023. This award recognizes young business leaders in the Twin Cities who have made a significant impact in their respective fields.

Peter Schmitt, who joined Schmitt Music in 2014, has become a driving force behind the company’s growth and success. Under his leadership, Schmitt Music has expanded its offerings and recently relocated its headquarters to a larger space. Peter has also been instrumental in developing the company’s e-commerce platform and creating a new retail model that blends online and in-store shopping experiences.

“I am honored to receive this award and to be recognized among such an accomplished group of young leaders in the Twin Cities,” Schmitt said. “I am grateful for the opportunities that Schmitt Music has given me to innovate and push boundaries in the music industry, and I look forward to continuing to grow and evolve the business.”

The 40 Under 40 Award receives hundreds of nominations received each year. The winners are selected by a panel of judges based on their accomplishments, leadership skills and community involvement. Peter was chosen for his entrepreneurial spirit and his ability to drive growth and innovation at Schmitt Music.
