Rousseau Mouthpieces Names St. Louis Music Exclusive U.S. Distributor
Rousseau Mouthpieces has named St. Louis Music its exclusive distributor for the U.S. and Canada. The distribution arrangement is effective now and includes all E.Rousseau brand products.
The E.Rousseau company was acquired by JodyJazz in 2020, and the company has since invested considerable time and resources into improving the quality and overall consistency of the Rousseau products. Although the mouthpieces are still made in the same factory where they’ve been made for the past two decades, all the Rousseau mouthpieces now come to the JodyJazz factory first before distribution where they’re hand-finished, gauged and play-tested. The company also initiated a comprehensive new Rousseau marketing campaign with a new Artist Endorser program, stepped up social media activity and new promotional materials, including an all-new website.
“Following our acquisition of the E.Rousseau company, it was always our plan to have the products distributed in the U.S. and Canada by a full-line distributor with a comprehensive national reach,” said Colin Schofield, JodyJazz’s vice president of sales and marketing. “But we had much work to do first to bring the quality levels of the Rousseau mouthpieces up to the same world-beating standards as our JodyJazz mouthpieces. We also had to reestablish the brand as a serious choice not only for school concert bands but for serious classical musicians as well. Now those goals have been achieved we’re delighted to announce our distribution partnership with St Louis Music. Given its knowledge and experience in the band and orchestra world and its expertise in woodwind instruments, there was no other choice for us.”
