PRS Guitars Names Eric Hammond PR Manager

Eric Hammond

PRS Guitars has appointed Eric Hammond to the role of public relations manager. Hammond brings more than 20 years of experience to the multiple aspects of the role.

Previously, Hammond was an account director at creative communications agency Maroon PR, leading strategy and execution on local, regional, national and international accounts in retail, entertainment, consumer products, nonprofits and other verticals.

Hammond will report to director of artist relations and community relations, Bev Fowler. He will be responsible for supporting and growing media relations and the content creator partnership strategy, in addition to events and the company’s philanthropy program.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Eric Hammond to our team as our new public relations manager,” Fowler said. “His extensive experience in PR and marketing will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and broaden our reach.”

Hammond began his career in communications through television news production. He also gained experience working in newspaper production, public affairs television and documentary production, producing and directing television commercials, magazine editing, radio and print journalism, and marketing. He then pivoted to public relations, media buying and social media strategy. Hammond has served on the boards of two charitable organizations, helping to manage giving.

“In this new role, I am ready to hit the ground running and help continue to spread awareness about the extraordinary products coming out of PRS Guitars,” Hammond said. “I have been an owner of multiple PRS instruments for more than two decades, so I know firsthand the extraordinary quality of our instruments made both in Maryland and overseas. This is a company that I am truly passionate about, and I look forward to officially being a brand advocate.”
