PASIC 2022 Convention Reports 5.4K Attendees
The Percussive Arts Society held PASIC 2022, its annual convention featuring exhibits, performances and education sessions, from Nov. 9–12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. During the four-day event, PASIC reported 5,400 attendees visited the convention, which was nearly 1,000 attendees than the 2021 installation of the show — and exhibitors on the PASIC show floor noticed.
“We were very happy to be back at PASIC,” said Antonio Ferranti of Tamburo Drums. “Last year, we were at the show, and I think others were still hesitant to attend because of COVID, but we had such a positive experience connecting with the drum community after only one year in America. This year, I’ve heard that attendance was back to 2019 levels, and we [saw] double the amount of drummers, artists and partners. All the major manufacturers and major artists returned, as well, so we [were] excited to connect with more people in the drumming community.”
Ludwig’s Adam Schweitzer shared similar sentiments about the show.
“I think PASIC [was] great,” he said. “It was great to reconnect with artists and educators, so they could see what Ludwig is doing in-person and make those relationships face-to-face again.”
