PASIC 2020 To Be Entirely Virtual
The Percussive Arts Society has announced in a letter signed by the PAS board of directors that the 2020 Percussive Arts Society International Convention will be entirely virtual due to concerns over the coronavirus. The original event was planned to take place from November 11-14.
In its virtual form, PASIC 2020 will be a two-day event held November 13-14. Registration will open in early September, and “early bird” prices will be $50 for student members, $100 for non-student members and $175 for non-members. The organization will make more announcements about the event on its social channels and website in the coming weeks.
“Nothing can replace what it’s like to attend PASIC in person,” PAS wrote in the letter. “However, we’re excited to reinvent that same unique experience you have come to rely on in a virtual setting. What’s even more exciting is knowing that a virtual PASIC will allow our members around the world, who are normally unable to attend in person, the opportunity to experience the unique gathering and sharing of artistry and innovation we celebrate each year in Indianapolis.”
The 2021 iteration of PASiC will take place next year in Indianapolis, November 10-13, 2021. It will be the 60th anniversary of PAS.
