My Music Staff Integrates Software in Response to COVID-19
My Music Staff announced adaptions to its software to integrate with Zoom, Skype and FaceTime this week. The Burlington, Ontario, Canada-based lesson management software company first began these integrations in March to support thousands of music teachers worldwide forced to suddenly shift to teaching online. The integration gives them one-click access to launching online lessons within My Music Staff, where they can take attendance, write lesson notes and assign repertoire as usual. Teachers can also upload video, audio, PDFs and other files and assign them to specific students.
My Music Staff also streamlines online billing. “This is crucial during this time of forced quarantine,” the company said in a statement. “Otherwise, many teachers could be left without income.”
According to Dasa Kajganic, marketing manager of My Music Staff, the company has heard from teachers able to shift their entire lesson programs online in days on short notice. “It is truly a testament to their passion and to the importance of music education,” Kajganic said.
