Midwest Clinic Cancels Conference Due to COVID-19
The Midwest Clinic has announced the cancellation of its 2020 Annual Conference, originally scheduled for December 16-19 in Chicago, due to concerns over the coronavirus, in a letter signed by the organization’s board of directors and distributed on June 25.
In the letter, the Clinic states that it will announce the details of a virtual Midwest Clinic, which will feature teaching icons, seminars and concert performances, in the coming weeks.
The board said the decision seemed like the only safe option. “After thoroughly considering all potential options, The Midwest Clinic has made the difficult decision to cancel,” it said in the letter. “We deeply regret the disappointment caused by this decision, but it was our only choice when it became clear the safety of our attendees could not be guaranteed.”
