MakeMusic Strikes Exclusive Agreement with Carl Fischer
MakeMusic has signed an exclusive agreement with Carl Fischer Music, Presser and BriLee Music.
Starting July 1, the Carl Fischer Music, Presser and BriLee Music catalogs will be exclusively available for interactive practice on MakeMusic Cloud, formerly known as SmartMusic, the reference online platform for music practice from MakeMusic. New and best-selling works by Deborah Baker Monday, Carol Brittin Chambers, Kathryn Griesinger, Mark Lortz, Yukiko Nishimura, Todd Parrish, Doug Spata, Michael John Trotta, and many more will be available for interactive practice during the 2023–2024 school year. Many signature method books, such as the “Arban Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet” and “Klose Celebrated Method for Clarinet,” will also be available for the teachers and students to enjoy.
“We’re very excited to broaden our cooperation with the Carl Fischer and Presser teams. MakeMusic and Carl Fischer have had a strong and collaborative relationship for several years,” said Heath Mathews, SVP of Alfred Music and MakeMusic Cloud. “This exclusive agreement solidifies our association and guarantees that new and returning MakeMusic Cloud users will have access to the world-class Fischer, BriLee and Presser catalogs for years to come.”
“We are thrilled to now offer our entire digital music library to teachers and students through MakeMusic Cloud, where educators can use the latest interactive tools for music practice, assessment, and performance,” said Sonya Kim, president and CEO of Carl Fischer Music and Presser. “We look forward to sharing the best of our band, choral and orchestra repertoire, as well as favorite methods and beloved solo repertoire. With a shared vision for meeting the needs of educators in an increasingly digital world, we are excited to form an exclusive partnership with MakeMusic Cloud to connect young learners to our music in effective and meaningful ways.”
