MakeMusic Strikes Agreement with Keiser Productions
MakeMusic has announced it has signed an exclusive agreement with Keiser Productions. Effective now, Keiser Productions, including the catalogs of LudwigMasters Publications, Southern Music and Lauren Keiser Music Publishing, will be exclusively available for interactive practice on MakeMusic Cloud — formerly known as SmartMusic — the reference online platform for music practice from MakeMusic.
New works by Dion Morales, Andrew Balent, James Barnes, Jeremy S. Martin, George Walker, Lynne Latham and many additional composers are currently available on the platform, and many more will be available for interactive practice exclusively on MakeMusic Cloud starting with the 2023–2024 school year.
“We’re excited about the opportunities this brings to our composers, as well as the students and teachers that utilize the platform,” said Matt Keiser, president and CEO of Keiser Productions. “We have incredibly gifted artists and writers in our catalogs, and we think pairing that with the talented MakeMusic Cloud team will be a harmonious collaboration.”
“This further strengthens the partnership between Keiser Productions and MakeMusic,” said Heath Mathews, SVP for Alfred Music and MakeMusic. “For many years, we’ve had a productive relationship between the companies, and we’ve been privileged to offer many high-quality titles from Keiser Productions in our platform. Going forward, MakeMusic Cloud will be the exclusive home for interactive practice of this outstanding and ever-expanding catalog, including many new titles from all of the Keiser brands. We’ve very excited to include Keiser Productions in our ever-growing family of exclusive partners.”
