KMC Music Announces New Leadership
KMC Music has announced a new era of leadership upon the retirement announcement of the company’s long-serving CEO Mark Terry.
James Tsaptsinos, a veteran of the company for more than 12 years, has been promoted to the role of general manager and VP at Jam US Music Group. This appointment marks a pivotal moment for KMC Music as Tsaptsinos takes on the responsibility of overseeing the business operations of KMC Music, Davitt & Hanser Music, Marshall Amplification USA, and US Music Corp Export divisions.
“I am truly honored to lead this incredible team into the future,” Tsaptsinos said. “KMC Music has a rich legacy, and I am excited to contribute to the next chapter of innovation and growth. Our commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and I am confident that together, we will set new benchmarks of success.”
In addition to Tsaptsinos’s promotion, KMC Music has promoted two team members, Terri Shaw, and Derik Deibler, to new roles.
Shaw, an MI veteran of 28 years, is being promoted to the role of vice president of sales for KMC, Davitt & Hanser Music, and US Music Corp Export. Shaw’s journey within the company began in 2016 as director of national accounts, where she helped KMC’s national account partners enjoy greater success. With this change, Shaw will bring her attention to detail and leadership to more retailer and distributor partners.
Deibler’s promotion to director of sales of national accounts for KMC and Davitt & Hanser brings his talent to more of the company’s dealer partners. With a solid background spanning 17 years in the MI retail and Church ProAV installation market, Deibler’s approach and relationship management skills will help him flourish in his expanded role.
“Our dealer partners have always been the priority for KMC Music, and in our next chapter, we are committed to redoubling that focus,” said James Tsaptsinos, general Manager and VP. “These changes to our management structure give us the team to continue to improve our ability to make our partners more successful.”
