Hohner, Country Music Hall of Fame Team with Make Music Nashville
Hohner and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum have announce their partnership with Make Music Nashville for this year’s Make Music Day celebration, to be held June 21 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Make Music Day is an annual event held on the summer solstice that aims to promote and inspire musical instrument playing across the country. Hohner has been actively involved in supporting harmonica lessons at these events since their inception, providing instruments to numerous locations nationwide, including the upcoming Nashville event at Plaza Mariachi.
Make Music Nashville is a non-profit festival that offers an all-day, open-access experience, featuring an array of free music-related activities. This year’s event promises a slew of opportunities for individuals of all ages. Hohner will support the Harmonica Workshop with Carlos DeFord Bailey, where players can join a group harmonica lesson to pay homage to the legendary DeFord Bailey, an iconic figure in early country music and the genre’s first Black star. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the joy of playing the harmonica firsthand, as they learn to blow and draw on their very own “harp.” Complimentary harmonicas will be provided to participants.
