Frankfurt Musikmesse Postponed Indefinitely Over Coronavirus
MI trade show Frankfurt Musikmesse, which had been scheduled for April 1-4, has been postponed indefinitely due to concerns over the spread of Covid-19, otherwise known as the coronavirus.
“Given the increasing spread of Covid-19 in Europe, Messe Frankfurt has decided to postpone Musikmesse 2020,” the company said on its website. “The health of exhibitors, visitors, contractors and employees has top priority for Messe Frankfurt. The new dates will be announced in the near future. Visitor admission tickets continue to be valid.”
Additionally, Musikmesse’s sister show Prolight + Sound 2020 has been rescheduled for May 26-29.
The news comes after Adam Hall Group pulled out of Prolight + Sound. Meanwhile, organizers of Superbooth20, the synth-focused electronic music show scheduled in Berlin on April 23-25, issued a statement clarifying they did not plan to cancel their event.
