Fort Bend Music Center Names New General Manager
Michael Brumit
Fort Bend Music Center, a full-line retailer headquartered in Stafford, Texas, has announced that Michael Brumit has joined the company as general manager. He now reports to Rick Cochran, the company’s president.
In his new position, Brumit oversees operations of the company’s stores in Stafford, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. His wife, Lisa Lance Brumit, has also joined the company and works in the company’s B&O department, as well as with the company’s institutional team.
“Michael brings exceptional strength and experience to our organization, having built a remarkable 20-year track record in both the retail and manufacturer sides of our industry,” Cochran said. “His addition to our team is a testament to our commitment to delivering the highest level of professional service. I am confident that Michael and Lisa will have a positive impact on our company and our customers.”
Prior to joining Fort Bend Music Center, Brumit was district manager of the piano channel for Yamaha Corp. of America, a position he held for eight years.
Earlier in his career, he was an institutional sales consultant for Valley Keyboards in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing and institutional sales at Valley Keyboards and The Piano Gallery.
