Former UK Retailer Passes Away
Dave Bresnan, former owner of Frets Old & New in Aintree, Liverpool, England passed away on June 26. He was 77 years old.
Accoring to a statement from NAMM, Bresnan learned to play piano when he was 15 years old. Throughout the 1960s, Bresnan played guitar and banjo in several groups after discovering folk music. During this time, he also realized his dream of one day owning his own music store and repair shop. When Frets Old & New opened in Aintree, Liverpool, it quickly became a success thanks to Bresnan’s passion and outstanding sales and service. While attending guitar shows across the U.K., he partnered with Martin Guitars to sell its guitars and accessories at several shows. Bresnan was a well-loved music sales dealer andwas business business for nearly 40 years.
