D’Addario Launches Drumhead Finder

D’Addario has launched its Drumhead Finder, a digital, analytical tool designed to help players find their ideal drumhead.

In partnership with Cartful Solutions, D’Addario has created a simple, yet powerful recommendation engine which sifts through hundreds of possibilities to align with each player’s needs. Using advanced technology, Drumhead Finder can match players to the right Evans drumhead.

“Drumhead Finder was conceived out of the insight that most players, across all levels of experience, are overwhelmed by the number of options available and lack the time and detailed knowledge to wade through hundreds of options to find a head that best fits their sonic goal,” said Andrew Whitelaw, D’Addario’s global director of strategy. “Too often, players default to what they’ve always used because exploring is time-consuming, mind-boggling and expensive. We built Drumhead Finder with the goal of taking the guesswork out — making it fun and easy to optimize your sound.”

Drumhead Finder’s user experience is easy and takes only a few minutes to complete. Players answer a series of questions about their drum, preferences and style, which allows the tool to narrow down the list of ideal drumheads. Questions cover drum type, size, reason for changing the head, and volume restriction.

Once completed, users instantly receive their “best match,” as well as ancillary options. Players can also have results sent by email for future reference. Drumhead Finder covers most every type of drum, including drum set, marching, concert percussion and hand percussion.
