Alfred Music Appoints Davis Dorrough as New Piano Editor

Alfred Music has named Davis Dorrough as its new piano editor. Dorrough brings a wealth of experience as a pianist, teacher and author to the new role, coupled with a deep commitment to music education.

Dorrough holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. Known for his significant contributions to music teaching, Dorrough has become a respected figure in the music education community. He frequently shares his expertise at prominent conferences, including the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Conference, the National Music Council of the U.S., and Music Ed Connect.

In addition to his work as an educator and author, Dorrough has held various key positions within MTNA. His roles have included chair of the National Certification Commission, contributor to the MTNA Business Digest, and member of the National Conference Planning Committee. His dedication to music education has been recognized with numerous awards, including the MTNA MarySue Harris Studio Teacher Fellowship Award, the Piano Technicians Guild Foundation Award and the MTNA Foundation Fellow Award.
