Teenage Engineering

OB–4 Off-White

A year after the release of Teenage Engineering’s OB–4 magic radio, the company has announced the orange, limited edition OB–4 Off-White honoring late Off-White designer Virgil Abloh. In addition to the bright orange exterior and back logo, OB–4 Off-White adds a new feature to the original OB—4: the gyil music of Ghanaian musician Sk Kakraba. A traditional instrument of Ghana, the gyil is known for its distinct buzzing sound featuring 14 wooden keys, which are played with rubber mallets. Beneath the keys hang calabash gourds, where small holes are made and covered in spider silk. Sk Kakraba is one of the last remaining masters of this instrument. The OB–4 Off-White will have a limited-run and is sold with a transparent orange carrying bag, custom-designed to fit the OB–4 with a black and white Off-White branded shoulder strap and black logo on the back.
