Roland has announced the Gaia 2, a synthesizer with a newly developed hybrid sound engine and panel layout that makes learning synthesis and exploring sound design easy. Gaia 2 is equipped with wavetable and virtual analog oscillators, interactive controls, 37 full-size keys and model expansion support. Gaia 2’s synthesis tools let users build familiar sounds and craft new voices. Reaching beyond previous designs, the wavetable oscillator can morph between multiple waveforms from dramatic shifts to slowly evolving textures.
