PRS Guitars’ new DGT Semi-Hollow Limited Edition model is the result of a decade’s-long relationship between Texas-based guitar player David Grissom and PRS founder Paul Reed Smith. With its roots in the PRS McCarty guitar, the DGT features a mahogany back and neck with maple top, 22 frets and 25-inch scale length. Grissom personalized the signature model with his own pickups and neck shape, as well as a tremolo bridge and moon inlay option. The DGT also features two volume controls, so the treble and bass humbuckers can be individually set and manipulated for more controlled tone. The guitar is hand-signed by company founder Paul Reed Smith on the front of the headstock and by David Grissom on the guitar’s backplate. Only 200 pieces will be available worldwide.
