Key Leaves has released its Oboe Key Props, which cure sticky key pads causing play malfunction. The new key props adapt to serve any oboe model and features soft rubber props that safely open C, Bb, plus two high trill keys so the pads air dry. Helping the oboe air dry keeps the body bore cleaner and less prone to cracking, a perennial problem for oboists. Leaving keys open to dry also helps prevent sticky buildup under pads that cause annoying pad noise or key malfunction. The Oboe Key Props are made in the U.S., priced less than one oboe reed and help prevent water damage and sticking key malfunction.
