Ibanez has unveiled a new line of budget-friendly AEG models. Both entry-level acoustics, the AEG7 and AEG7MH are based on the AEG, which takes the grand-concert shape and makes it slightly thinner, offering additional comfort and an instrument that’s somewhat easier to play, especially for beginners. The construction and specifications of both models are largely similar, featuring Sapele back and sides, an Okoume neck, Purpleheart fretboard, and an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp paired with an under-saddle pickup. The only difference is in the top wood. The AEG7 sports a spruce top, while the AEG7MH features a Sapele top.
