Ernie Ball Music Man has launched its new Heat Treated (HT) pickup technology along with the HT series of instruments. Inspired by over a decade of electric guitar string research, Ernie Ball has incorporated the principles and insights that contributed to the development of Cobalt and M-Steel Slinky, resulting in a new material-based innovation for pickups. This all-new patent-pending HT pickup technology brings a new series of HT-equipped instruments, including a Cutlass HT, StingRay HT and a Sabre HT. The HT pickups outperform normal spec pickups by providing extra output and excellent touch sensitivity and also display a more powerful bass response and expansion of higher frequency harmonics. Additionally, they offer complete tonal consistency at all volume control levels.
