Dusty Strings’ String Buttons are a reusable and easy-to-use alternative to tying the traditional harper’s knot when replacing broken strings on a harp. Anyone who struggles with joint pain or any other issues affecting hand strength or dexterity, tying the harper’s knot can be especially challenging. Made in the Dusty Strings harp and hammered dulcimer workshop in Seattle, String Buttons are larger than a spline, are reusable, can be threaded in a simple pattern without the need for tightly gripping or pinching, and make use of the mechanical power of the tuning pin to cinch down the knot. A pack contains 12 black String Buttons, an instruction card and a link to video instructions.
