D’Addario XS coated strings are now available for electric guitar. Debuted initially as an acoustic string in 2021, XS strings offer players maximum life, strength and tuning stability. The XS Electric still maintains the same benefits as XS Acoustic, including a very thin film coating — 1/10 the thickness of a human hair — that completely protects the wound strings from corrosion, as well as D’Addario’s proprietary dispersion coating, used in its XT line, to protect the plain-steel strings. Combined, these attributes provide a smooth and fast-playing experience without sacrificing precision and control. The XS Electric are available in the top six-string gauges.
