Remo Music Center Relocates

Remo has relocated its music center facility to Valencia, California.

"Twenty-one years ago Remo, Inc. was outgrowing its facility in North Hollywood, California, and consequently we broke ground for our 220,000-square-foot facility here in Santa Clarita," said Brock Kaericher, president of Remo, during a ribbon-cutting event held on Jan. 9.

"Remo [Belli] always said, 'You need a place for drummers to drum,'" said Dr. Ami Belli, owner of Remo. "I look forward to seeing our community connecting through the power of rhythm."

Members of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, Santa Clarita City Council, local school districts, College of the Canyons Foundation, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, friends and family gathered for the event.

Several representatives from the city, state and county presented Kaericher and Belli with certificates of recognition and congratulations.

"It is quite a privilege to be a part of such a great community," Kaericher said.

Immediately following the ceremony, all attendees gathered for a drum circle. Mike DeMenno, manager of the Remo Music Center; Chalo Eduardo, manager of world percussion products; and John Fitzgerald, manager of recreational music activities, took turns facilitating the drum circle.

The Remo Music Center will hold a weekly Community Drum Circle open to everyone. A Kids Rhythm Club will start on Feb. 10, and Remo will soon announce a weekly Health Rhythms Group Drumming session.
