Founder of Trickfish Amplification Dies

Richard Ruse, president and owner of Trickfish Amplification, passed away on Dec. 18, 2017. He was 61 years old.

Ryan Owens, vice president of business development at Trickfish, posted the following statement to Trickfish Amplification's Facebook page:

"It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our founder and visionary, Richard Ruse.

"Richard passed away from complications due to an infection he was battling for several weeks.

"Richard loved Trickfish and the bass player community as a whole. The remaining partners, Ryan Owens and David Yates, will continue to work closely with Michael Pope and Anthony Fregoso to continue to offer the best products coupled with unsurpassed customer service just as Richard would have wanted it.

"Trickfish will keep our plans to be at NAMM 2018 next month, and we look forward to sharing with everyone some of the new products we have to unveil. Please stop by and share you favorite Richard story, we know everyone has one as he touched everyone he met.

"As the messages and condolences come pouring in we ask for and appreciate your patience as we grieve with you all."

Before forming Trickfish in 2014, Ruse began his MI career at JBL Professional as western region director of sales and worked his way up to the position of JBL's senior director of sales.
