JAN. 9 I ALVAREZ I CONTEST

Alvarez Dealers Get Chance to Win $10K Guitar

Alvarez has announced a first quarter drawing that will give Alvarez dealers the chance to win a one of a kind, custom Yairi guitar valued at a retail price of $10,000.

Handmade in Japan, the prize guitar is a Yairi Grand Concert GYMA90S.

"Yairi is one of the best guitar producers in the world," said Chris Meikle, head of development at Alvarez and senior vice president at St. Louis Music. "This special model demonstrates their wonderful ability and craftsmanship beautifully. We're really happy that one of our dealers will own this guitar."

The Grand Concert GYMA90S is made from all solid-master-grade Hawaiian koa wood. The top, back and sides are bound in rosewood and inlaid with a 1½-mm Paua abalone purfling, giving this guitar a custom and sophisticated vibe. Other features include an ebony fingerboard and direct coupled bridge, Gotoh tuners, and a real bone nut and saddle.

The drawing will take place on March 31 in St. Louis. Dealers are encouraged to call their St. Louis Music representative for entry details.
