She Rocks Honors Women in the Music Industry
The Women's International Music Network (WiMN) will honor women in the music industry during its annual She Rocks Awards, this Friday, Jan. 22 from 7-9 p.m. at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel.

Featuring WiMN Founder Laura B. Whitmore and acclaimed guitarist Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper, Iron Maidens) as co-hosts, the event will pay tribute to trailblazing women in music and will include performances by: Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson, Jeff Beck), Karmin's Amy Heidemann, Raining Jane, Malina Moye, Nita Strauss, The Command Sisters, plus the house band Rock Sugah.

Named one of Billboard's "7 must-see events at NAMM," the fourth annual She Rocks Awards offer performances, food and beverages, giveaways, a silent auction, networking opportunities, and more. The event brings together industry professionals, music icons, artists, fans, and media to celebrate women in music. A portion of the proceeds of the event will go to benefit the Girls Rock Camp Alliance and the NAMM Foundation.

This year's honorees include: Guitarist Jennifer Batten, legendary artist Chaka Khan, Karmin's Amy Heidemann, Rock Camp for Girls L.A. and Raining Jane's Becky Gebhardt and Mona Tavakoli, Taylor Guitars' Chalise Zolezzi, NAMM's Mary Luehrsen, Gator Cases' Crystal Morris, Tom Tom Magazine's Mindy Abovitz, Seymour Duncan's Cathy Carter Duncan, Fanny's House of Music's Leigh Maples and Pamela Cole, Skywalker Sound's Leslie Ann Jones and Universal Music's Sujata Murthy.
