Lorenz Turns 125

In honor of the Lorenz Corporation's 125th anniversary, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley has declared Sept. 1, 2015, Lorenz Day in Dayton, Ohio. The company is also celebrating by inviting the community into its facilities on Oct. 2 for National Manufacturing Day.

The publishing company, located in Dayton, was established in 1890 by Edmund S. Lorenz, great-great grandfather of the current CEO, Reiff Lorenz. From choir and classroom music to pieces for handbells, keyboard and other instruments, Lorenz provides an array of selections to musicians in a wide variety of settings.

While much has changed in music and in the world since Lorenz published their first choral anthems in the late 19th century, Lorenz's dedication to serving the people who bring music into their churches, schools, and communities has not. This service continues to be both the company's mission and their passion.
