JULY 24 I SUMMER NAMM I SHOWS
Summer NAMM
Biggest in Six Years

The numbers are in and NAMM is reporting last week's Summer NAMM show was the largest since 2008.

Held July 17-19 in Nashville, Tennessee, the show saw the most exhibiting companies since 2006 with a total of 438 exhibitors representing 1,510 brands. NAMM-ers could see this year's increase by the expansion of the show into two full halls. Pearl, KHS and Orange Amplification were among the 112 companies that returned to the show after a hiatus. Another 103 exhibiting companies were new to Summer NAMM including Hang Over Guitar Straps and Blakhart Guitar Company.

The number of buyers increased 5 percent over last year, which saw an 8 percent increase over 2012. In total, 12,442 people registered for the show.

“You come here thinking you know what you’ll find and you end up finding things you never knew you needed,” Jenn Ladd, co-owner of Bluedog Guitars in North Vancouver, B.C., told NAMM in a release. “Then there are products and people here we just have to meet with to make that in-person connection.”
