GC Opens New Location
in New York
Guitar Center opened the doors to its 256th store in the U.S. on Jan. 23 in Cheektowaga, N.Y. The new store includes Guitar Center Studios, a fully-equipped space for music lessons. The Cheektowaga store will offer lessons on guitar, bass, keys, drums, vocals and recording techniques. The store also includes GC Garage, an on-site guitar repair service.

In other Guitar Center news, in early February the retail chain kicked off a new campaign centered around the tagline, "All we sell is the greatest feeling on earth." The new marketing campaign features drummer, DJ and producer Questlove. Additional artists taking part in the campaign will be announced throughout the year.
