MARCH 2 I KHS I VENUE
KHS Relocates HQ
KHS America, the distributor of Jupiter, Mapex, Majestic and Altus flutes, announced on Feb. 22 plans to move its corporate headquarters from Austin, Texas, to a new building in Mount Juliet, Tenn.
According to Nashville Business Journal, the custom-built facility outside Nashville, Tenn., will create 54 new jobs in the region. The 100,000-square-foot headquarters will house all corporate offices, warehouse space, shipping facilities, instrument testing, quality assurance and a visitor center.
“We are excited to begin construction on the new facility,” said Tabor Stamper, president of KHS America. “We currently have several warehouse locations, making it more difficult to respond rapidly to our growing demand. Jupiter Quantum marching brass, Mapex Quantum marching percussion and Majestic mallet instruments will all be shipped to our customers from one location. Along with our warehouse in Corona, Calif., the new, larger facility will also allow for more efficient distribution of Mapex drums.”
Construction of the KHS headquarters is scheduled to be completed early this summer. MI
