DEC. 7 I STEINWAY PIANO GALLERY I EVENT
Physicians Perform
for Charity

Physicians in the Naples, Fla., area traded in their scrubs for guitar straps and raised more than $25,000 for local charities during the 5th Annual Physician’s Talent Showcase, held Oct. 20. The event was hosted by the Steinway Piano Society, the non-profit, philanthropic branch of the Steinway Piano Gallery of Bonita Springs.

Twelve doctors and a 13-piece backup band, Throat Culture, entertained an audience of more than 250 with a medley of jazz, R&B and Broadway tunes.

“This year’s show brings our total contributions to the Neighborhood Health Clinic to $100,000, as well as nearly $20,000 generated for our [Steinway Piano Society] scholarship fund,” said Greg Billings, owner of Steinway Piano Gallery in Bonita Springs and the event’s producer and music director. “Everyone had a great time, and this event has established the Steinway Piano Gallery as the first place people in our medical community consider when shopping for a piano.”

The Neighborhood Health Clinic offers medical care to low-income, uninsured Collier County adults, and the Steinway Piano Society’s scholarship fund gives pianos and lessons to economically disadvantaged children. MI
