Avid Unveils New
Brand Identity

Avid has unveiled a new brand identity. At the center of its new look is a logo composed of basic geometric shapes derived from the icons that represent volume up, volume down, play, pause, record and forward.

Avid has been a family of separate businesses — including Digidesign, M-Audio, Pinnacle Systems and Sibelius — that served audio and video customers independently. As part of a strategic move that began last year, Avid’s rebranding is part of an effort to fuse of these businesses and further position the company to capitalize on the convergence of digital audio and video.
