JA Musik Takes New Name

JA Musik CEO Jakob von Wolff has renamed the company B&S. JA Musik has been developing the B&S brand since purchasing the East German state-owned brasswind conglomerate VEB Blechblas und Signalsinstrumente in 1991.

“Our objective is that all musicians who play a B&S instrument will immediately know which company has made the instrument,” von Wolff said. “Today, too many people can’t make a connection between B&S as a brand name and JA Musik as the manufacturer’s name.”

B&S has also launched a Web site with the new company name.
