APRIL 9 I D&M HOLDINGS, ALLEN & HEATH I ACQUISITION
Allen & Heath Acquired by D&M
D&M Holdings, a global operating company for worldwide management and distribution platforms, has acquired Allen & Heath. The U.K.-based designer and manufacturer of audio mixing consoles will continue to be led by Managing Director Glenn Rogers and its current management team. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of Allen & Heath is a strong complement to our Calrec and D&M Pro brands,” said D&M Chairman and CEO Eric Evans. “This acquisition broadens our product offering to our long-standing DJ customer base and expands our business in the professional market into installed live sound.”
Founded in 1969, Allen & Heath supplies digital and analog consoles through a global sales force to a network of distributors in more than 80 countries. The company operates out of its Cornwall, England, manufacturing facility and has more than 150 employees.
Recently, Allen & Heath launched iLive, a mixing system that features a flexible architecture with distributed audio and control. The iLive system was developed specifically for the digital mixing of live sound. Allen & Heath will continue expanding its digital portfolio to meet the growing demand for digital mixers.
“Like our other premium brands, Allen & Heath can continue to focus on innovations while D&M provides expanded global market reach and other support,” Evans said. “We also see useful tie-ins with Clarec, our live-to-air broadcast console brand and Denon DJ.”
