M&A Buys Colonial Music

Music & Arts Center recently acquired the assets of Colonial Music, a Columbus, Ohio-based school music retailer.

The acquisition includes six Colonial Music stores, a distribution facility and the company’s network of road reps.

Music & Arts Center, headquartered in Frederick, Md., will offer the same selection of band and orchestral products in Colonial Music stores, while also providing a full line of guitars, amplifiers, keyboards, digital pianos and drums. The remerchandised stores will also offer significantly more print music.
