MUSIC AND ARTS CENTER | ACQUISITION
Music and Arts acquires Zera Musicland
Music and Arts Center, a division of Guitar Center, has acquired Connecticut-based Zera Musicland, a musical instrument and printed sheet music retailer servicing the Fairfield, Conn., area. The acquisition was completed on May 12 and adds a sixth store to Music and Arts' Connecticut presence.
Music and Arts Center will operate the former Zera Musicland location as a full-line retail store, with instrument and accessory sales, instrument rentals and private music lessons. Music and Arts Center will supplement the current retail selection with a full line of band and orchestra products, guitars, keyboards and drum sets.
As is traditional with Zera Musicland, Music and Arts Center will continue to carry a full line of printed sheet music and will cater to both local educators and musicians.
“The customers that came in over the weekend were extremely excited about
Music and Arts Center," said Music and Arts' Brian Wilson, district manager for the Connecticut stores. "On Saturday, as we were literally unpacking boxes, customers were buying instruments. The staff and I are very excited about the future and possibilities of this location.”
This Fairfield store is the 86th in the Music and Arts Center chain.
