NAMM Partners with Warped, Dealers Benefit
NAMM has announced sponsorship of the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, which will present NAMM members with free marketing opportunities to reach teens and their parents.
The Vans Warped Tour has been around since 1995 and features punk, alternative, hip-hop, ska and reggae bands. Beginning June 14 in Columbia, Md., and ending Aug. 13 in Montreal, Canada, the show will travel to 48 markets. Nearly 1 million tickets were purchased last year.
NAMM members in each local market can select any or all of three marketing options:
• The inclusion of promotional materials (coupons, discounts and fliers) to be distributed in concert goodie bags)
• An in-store concert ticket giveaway for young customers
• A VIP entrance and a short, guided tour of the local concert site for the company owner or employees.
“Creating more teenage music makers remains a core objective of NAMM,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “This summer, NAMM will offer dealers in these 48 tour market areas an unprecedented opportunity (at no charge) to increase their visibility with teens and parents.”
